Overview

HTTP Redirect (http-redirect.com) is operated as a personal, non-commercial service. We collect as little data as possible and do not sell, share, or monetise any information about our users or visitors.

Data processed when a redirect is served

When a visitor's browser follows a redirect through this service, the following information is processed in order to serve the redirect:

This information passes through server access logs. Logs are retained briefly for security and abuse monitoring purposes and are not used for any other purpose. We do not build profiles, track individuals across requests, or share this data with third parties.

The destination URL from your _redirect TXT record is looked up in DNS and used to serve the redirect. It is cached in memory for a short period to reduce DNS lookup latency and is not stored persistently.

Website analytics

The http-redirect.com website collects anonymous page view analytics. Analytics data is retained and processed internally and is not shared with any third party. No cookies are used and no personal information is collected.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies.

Data belonging to redirect visitors

If you operate a domain that uses this service, your visitors' requests pass through our servers as described above. You are responsible for informing your own visitors about any data processing that occurs as a result of using this service, where required by applicable law.
